5. Gingham’s Homestyle Restaurant

Gingham’s is a 24 hour dine-in family restaurant. They have a full service menu to order off of. You can have breakfast for dinner or vice versa. As such, everything is made from scratch, including their many soups and sandwiches. They even provide a kids menu so the whole family can enjoy the intimate and friendly atmosphere. Recently, the Ellisville location has gotten free wireless internet service for customers to use while they visit. The St. Charles location will soon do the same. So if you are in the neighborhood, stop into Gingham’s for a family style meal anytime of the day.

4. Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet

Hibachi has an excellent buffet that includes many Asian favorites like pot stickers, general tso’s chicken, crab rangoon, and egg rolls. Plus, they have a variety of seafood choices including mussels, clams, and five different kinds of shrimp. Other than the main buffet, they also have a salad bar, dessert bar, and made to order sushi bar. It you’ve never had octopus, but want to try it, then this is the place you’ve been looking for.

3. Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse is a lively, entertaining restaurant where you can get some of the best steak and drinks in town. They have hand-cut steaks (everything from center-cut sirloin to “road-kill”), homemade sides, and fresh baked bread with butter. The best part is the large portion sizes at great prices; their legendary margaritas are enormous! Recently, Texas Roadhouse has started taking reservations through “Call ahead seating,” a new mobile service. If you want an ice cold drink and a large slab of meat, ride over to Texas Roadhouse for some line dancing servers that give great service.

2. HuHot Mongolian Grill

HuHot is one of the best stir fry restaurants in the area. They have a buffet of meat and vegetable ingredients to add to your choice of either egg or soba noodles. Plus, there is an entire bar of sauces and oils to flavor your dish. HuHot has reference labels on the sauces for customers letting them know the “level of burn” your taste buds may experience. Mixing sauces can create some wonderful tasting dishes. My favorite mixture is Black Thai Peanut and Garlic oil. If the noodle stir fry isn’t enough for you, HuHot also offers appetizers and desserts. Want a custom dish but don’t feel like cooking? Love to experiment with your food and try new flavors? Head to HuHot for some unlimited stir fry you’ll definitely have fun making.

1. Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Five Guys has the best burgers in the city, maybe even the country. At Five Guys, all burgers are made fresh with only ground beef and nothing is ever frozen. All toppings other than bacon and cheese are free, including: grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, jalapeño peppers, A1 sauce, Barbeque sauce, etc. Whatever your preferences may be, Five Guys can do it with 250,000 different ways to fix a burger. Everything on the menu is trans-fat free and made to order the way you want it. At Five Guys, every burger is custom made for each customer, as it should be. No more need to order a burger without a topping to get it fresh or to get fries with your drink if you don’t want them. Plus, Five Guys has a mobile Android app so you can make your order on the way, and they will have it ready for you to pick up. No waiting in line!
